Missoula County Public schools announced the following leadership changes for Jeannette Rankin Elementary, Lowell Elementary, Meadow Hill Middle and Big Sky High Schools.
Christina Stevens, current Meadow Hill Principal, will transfer to the principal position at Jeannette Rankin Elementary for the 2018-19 school year.
Natalie Jaeger, current Big Sky Principal, will transfer to the principal position at Meadow Hill Middle School for the 2018-19 school year.
Jennifer Courtney, current Big Sky Assistant Principal, has been appointed as the interim principal of Big Sky for the 2018-19 school year.
The Lowell Principal position will be open for interviews the week of June 11, 2018 and the new leader will start during the summer. Brooke Capser, the current Lowell Principal resigned her position this week in order to support her family.
Christina Stevens has served as a teacher, assistant principal and principal at Meadow Hill Middle school for the past 25 years where she has been principal for the past 6 years. Natalie Jaeger has served as the principal of Big Sky for the past four years, joining MCPS from her role as an administrator in the Boston Public Schools. Jennifer Courtney has served the district as a teacher at Seeley Swan High School for 11 years then transferring to Big Sky as a teacher on special assignment before filling the assistant principal role for the past four years.
Stevens will start the school year at the current Cold Springs Elementary with the staff and students and together they will move to the new building at Jeannette Rankin Elementary in the late fall when construction is complete.
Superintendent Mark Thane is proud to see Mrs. Stevens, Mrs. Jaeger and Mrs. Courtney transfer to these new leadership positions. “I am excited to see our current leaders who understand and appreciate the vision and the ambitions of our district as well as the potential for their school communities serve in their new roles,” commented Thane.
