Missoula County Elections: Special Federal Election


The special federal election to fill Montana’s only seat in the U.S. House of Representatives is Thursday, May 25. Voters will decide whether Republican Greg Gianforte, Democrat Rob Quist or Libertarian Mark Wicks will fill the seat.

The Elections Center, located at the Missoula County Fairgrounds is the central location for all voter services for this special election. Staff and volunteers at the Election Center can help Missoula County electors by providing absentee ballot assistance, replacing ballots, offering late registration, providing an ADA accessible AutoMark voting machine and allowing voters to drop off their ballot at the 24/7 drive-thru location.

Same Day Registration is open on Election Day from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.. The last day to request an absentee ballot is Wednesday, May 24 by 12:00 p.m. and absentee ballots are due by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
