Basically every study ever on social media has found it’s bad for your mental health, your happiness, your perspective on the world, and so much more.
Every study . . . except this one.
A media and information professor at Michigan State University just released the results of his new study which found . . . nope, social media ISN’T all that bad for you. He found it can help IMPROVE mental health and fight depression and anxiety.
So how come his results are different than everyone else’s? He says it’s because other studies only looked at young people . . . who are all messed up in the head because of how our crumbling society is crushing them, regardless of social media.
He studied older people instead, and found that the ones who used social media were 1.63 times more likely to be clear of serious psychological conditions like depression or anxiety.
And he believes it’s because social media helps keep friendships alive as people get older, which makes them feel more connected to the world . . . and happier as a result.
