Washington-Grizzly Stadium is once again set to host The Great Griz Encounter and family movie night on Friday, August 23, with the traditional preseason Griz football pep rally highlighting a full evening of activity for fans.
The Great Griz Encounter gives fans the chance to meet both the Montana football and volleyball teams, have this year’s team posters autographed, let the kids run wild with a bouncy house and games area, and take in a movie on the big screen.
Bring your blankets or lawn chairs for the second-ever movie night in Washington-Grizzly Stadium. Following the autograph session, the evening will finish under the bright lights of the Griz Vision jumbotron with the showing of Captain Marvel.
Fans can also pick up the latest Griz gear from officially licensed apparel vendors and enjoy a wide selection of local food and beverages while taking in the atmosphere at one of the best college football settings in the nation.
The fun begins at 5 p.m. when gates to the stadium open, followed by the introduction of the football and volleyball teams at 5:30.
The two teams will sign autographs from 5:45-7 p.m. and the Captain Marvel will start at 7:30.
Prior to the start of the Great Griz Encounter, fans are encouraged to make it a full day on campus by attending the volleyball’s team’s exhibition match vs. North Dakota (noon in the West Auxiliary Gym). Following the match, the team will hold a free youth clinic, leading into the Great Griz Encounter that evening. The exhibition match and youth clinic are also free.
Due to a large number of fans wishing to get autographs, there is a two-item limit.
The event is FREE to the public.
