A Mormon Temple For Missoula

An embroidered rendering of the Mormon Temple currently under construction in Helena

During a general conference for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints last week, President Russell Nelson announced plans to build seventeen Temples around the world with one of them in Missoula. Currently, the only LDS Temple in Montana is in Billings, that one was dedicated in 1999. Helena has an approved Temple under construction and is about halfway complete. The location of the Temple hasn’t been determined yet, but the committee in charge, out of Salt Lake City, says they plan to build a structure that resembles the Missoula community.
