Bitterroot Health Opens Cancer & Infusion Center

Hamilton now has a state-of-the-art infusion and cancer treatment facility, providing much-needed services closer to home.

Previously, Bitterroot Health didn't have an oncology unit and offered infusions only one day a week. Many patients in rural areas face challenges accessing cancer care, either due to distance, financial constraints, or lack of means for travel.

To address this, Bitterroot Health partnered with Intermountain Health to establish the facility, which opened last month and operates at least five days a week. The project, which began in 2018 but was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, received support from the community, including donations and volunteer assistance.

The facility aims to provide not only medical care but also a comfortable environment for patients, offering amenities such as massage chairs to enhance the treatment experience.
