A Montana man has lost his hunting and trapping privileges for life in 47 states for illegally killing a trophy moose in 2019. State wildlife officials say 41-year-old Shiloh Berry of East Helena took the antlers and left the meat to waste. Berry pleaded guilty last fall to unlawful possession of a game animal, hunting without a license and wasting a game animal. He was sentenced Friday in Townsend. His fines and restitution total $12,100. Game wardens received a tip in November 2019 after someone found a moose carcass with its head cut off in Broadwater County. Wardens later learned Berry had moose antlers he claimed to have found in that same area.
