Vaccines for 5 - 11 Year Olds
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has approved the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for 5-11 year olds. Missoula County Public Schools (MCPS) will again partner with our local pediatric physician groups, pharmacists, and Missoula City-County Health Department to provide a clinic for our families with children in this age group on Friday November 12th 8am-5pm and Saturday November 13th 8am-1pm at the MCPS Administration Building at 909 South Ave W. The second dose clinics will be 3 weeks later on December 3rd and 4th at the same location. The school district says they encourage families to reach out to their health care providers with any questions or concerns around the vaccine.
Families who choose to have the vaccine, online registration is open for their 5-11 year-olds through this Granite Pharmacy link- https://hipaa.jotform.com/213046698425158.
Please note that registration is a three-step process, but all links needed to complete these steps can be found in the clinic link provided above. If you have more than one child who is 5-11 years old, an appointment will need to be scheduled for each child that will be receiving a vaccine.
Online scheduling for the Nov. 12-13 clinic will close on Wednesday, November 10th at 6:00PM.
It is important to understand that this clinic is ONLY for 5-11 year old children and a guardian must be present for both doses. We will not be providing vaccines to 12-18 year-olds or adults during this clinic. Links to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Montana Department of Health and Human Services (DPHHS), and the Missoula City-County Health Department can be found below for your reference and additional information.
Appointment specific-information, map of the building, and other logistical information will be provided in future emails from Granite Pharmacy.
